Hey I try to play online but before the server lists load it says connection failed here' my log

When i try to run the mod (either through the shortcut thingy or through community) i get this error:

what about the shortcut problem? how can we solve it? I can start everything normaly except the shortcut i made.

there are three bugs in duel mode, that i dont know if they were already mentioned:
1. sometimes only one player spawns but sometimes no one spawns.
2. after playing sometime you cant see the ping of some people anymore
3. once you die you'll always see instead of wins that you are out

@widget
you're just missing the chaosnointro file it seems that many people are missing different stuff....

Yeah, make sure you're patched. Also, after patching check UT2004\ChaosUT2\System\ and delete ChaosUT2.ini and ChaosUT2User.ini. They will be rebuilt when you run the mod again.

Yeah, we kinda have a few things to iron out on the HUDs...

Ok a few more bugs

Bots dont spawn automaticly you have to addbots spawn them

Some times you are get stuck between the meele weapon and the shield gun in DM


the ChoasUT2 mutator doesnt show up in Regular UT2004

also is it supposed to replace all the weapons in ONS when you are playing it thru ChaosUT2?

Then you didn't tell the game to make it available when you run regular UT2K4 when you installed Chaos, because it sure does work.

I have a kind of big bug. I can't play Duel. No matter how many bots I have it set to have in the list of opponents, it spawns me one bot. (I know you can only fight one at a time but I mean on the scoreboard, I only have one bot.)

Then it spawns my opponent and not me, so I get to sit and watch them run around. I can't even spawn to play the game :(

I had the same thing..
I unistalled ut2004 and then deleted the whole directory where I had it installed... after that I reinstalled ut2004 and it works perectly fine now

bug: #1: when I switch ammo on some weapons the ammo amount and icons of the last ammo remains. #2: when the turret is on minigun ammo it just shoots one bullet per 2 seconds.

Ok I found I have some errors with mine. I had to install mine via the Zip file, so basically manually because I don't not have the UT4MOD to open. First of all, taking it as a separate program from UT2k4. I have CUT2 for UT2k3 and when I go under my Start menu, Programs, I find it right there labeled Chaos UT 2 Evolution. But it won't do the same for CUT2 for UT2k4, so therefore I cannot play the CUT2 and play such things as melee and duel. Secondly, I cannot make a desktop icon for it either and that doesn't help me to play it either. The only way I can play CUT2 is as a mutator in UT2k4. Somewhere in the readme file there probably was something that discussed this but I must have overlooked it, several times. Is there any way I can get this thing working properly?

Ok, my contribution. I apoligize if these were covered already........

1)Weapons cycle bug= Roughly 70% of the time I cannot switch to weapons I've picked up via mouse wheel cycling. It just keeps cycling back & forth between shield gun and melee weapon. On;ly way to resolve this is to manually switch using mapped keys which most of the time gets me killed.

2) Best weapon bug?= Rocket Launcher overrides everything and auto-switches everytime I pick it up.

3) ChaosUT browser refresh bug= There seems to be an issue with ChaosUT querying the master server half the time and returns with 'failed'. This happens for any ChaosUT gametype but is quickly resolved by just spamming the refresh button. :P

on the best weapon bug it has to do with your weapon defaults. you'll havet o manually change them . cause of Epic :)
