An option suggestion: you can choose if you want to spawn with a gravbelt, but can't choose to spawn with jumpboots...*hint hint* :)

Chaos bugs

I always get the newest patches as soon as they are avaliable.

The game also froze when I switched weapons. I was switchng from the vortex weapon to another wepon. While the game froze an irritating noise kept repeating.

I use a mousewheel to switch weapons for Ut2003 and UT. I never had any problems with UT or UT2003 before.

I am using the following mutators as well.
Superbots. Pee wee combo. Camo Combo. Bot chat command,which I downloaded from modsquad.

The critical error still happened when I turned off all extra mutators,and something in the critical error message was about the railbolt.
That error happened three times in one hour.

Hmm could you post the critical error with the railgun and/or a log?

We didnt change the assualt rifle in any way so im not sure what to say about that.

I use the mousewheel to switch weapons also and havent had problems. Did it only freeze once or does it happen repeatedly when you switch?

The next time I get that error message I'll send it in.

I also have Ut2003 relics installed,but I didn't have them in the mutator list when I got that error.

I also have a lot of custom 3rd party models and skins installed. A few have custom voices.

I also did a system viral scan to make sure it a virus wasn't in this computer. Sometimes viruses will cause games to malfuntion. No viruses in my computer anyhow.

Assault rifle. Probably still a ton of bugs in Ut2003 to do with compatibility.
I never had the game freeze before when I used that puny weapon.

Maybe you should change or replace it since it's such a weak weapon. When I play Ut2003 I get rid of it as fast as possible.

I installed the new patch and only had one lockup last night. After playing for more than half an hour a bot fired a vortex and I got sucked in. The game locked up and had to do a hard reset.

I have the most recent UT2003 patch installed and no other mutators were running. I think mine was actually one of those rare no cause crashes, but I figured I'd post it anyway just in case.

The game crashed again while I was using the railgun.

RH:
This was offline, wasn't it?
Do you remember what you fired at right before it crashed?

thegreywolfe:
A lockup is tough to debug. Can you give us any additional information in case it happens again?

Just outta curiousity RH were you using a custom model of some type (or one of the bots using one) that has a really strange skeleton structure?

I am having serious problem with my server now. After adding Chaos and the fix my server does not work any longer ,,, not even on the UT2K3.. I can get on other servers and can play the maps alone with the bots. The critical error I am receiving is as follows::

UT2003 Build UT2003_Build_[2003-04-07_17.42]

OS: Windows 98 4.90 (Build: 73010104)
CPU: GenuineIntel PentiumPro-class processor @ 931 MHz with 639MB RAM
Video: NVIDIA GeForce3 (3082)

UGameEngine::BuildServerMasterMap <- ULevel::Listen <- Listen <-
UGameEngine::LoadMap <- LocalMapURL <- UGameEngine::Browse <- ClientTravel

Is there anyone who can help me with this, thanks for you time :)

In your server packages do one of the lines have a space and/or slash at the end? I looks like its trying to load "ChaosUT \" instead of "ChaosUT"

Thanks for the quick replay :)

No I don't see a slash... My line up is as follows::

ServerPackages=SkaarjPack_rc
ServerPackages=MultiPickup
ServerPackages=ChaosGames_UI
ServerPackages=ChaosGames
ServerPackages=ChaosUT
ServerPackages=UTClassic

I added the line above and the one below, just so you can see if there is a problem with the line up.

The last time I fired at a model called Beast,which I downloaded from UT2003HQ. It's at spot 40 over there.
The model comes with a couple other skins. It was the skin called the old one that I fired at.

I am not sure what I fired at before when the game crashed.

I was playing offline.

RH, reason i asked was because the railgun turns people into skeletons, and if the model had a bad skeleton it would have trouble.

Taylor, do any of the server packages have a space at the end of the line? Assuming you copy/pasted it looks like they all might. For the chaos ones i think this causes problems.
