it would be fun to stick an enemy to a wall like that!

oh yes! though you could have like the alt fire make it into a homing lance except it only targets one enemy.

But a homing javelin would be too easy. The challenge is what makes it fun! I would probably use the alt-fire to stack up multiple javelins. I also believe that the advanced weapon option for the crossbow is unnecessary. A charge-up arrow should probably be the primary fire. I don't think the crossbow was inteded to be used full-auto.

Another weapon idea!
A weapon that incorporates elements from the shield gun and the link gun. that allows you to protect yourself as well as friendly troops and vehicles from friendly fire. Primary fire would create a relatively small shield, maybe 7 feet in diameter, 3 feet in front of the user. Secondary fire would create your standard link gun plasma beam-thing. This beam can be used to power up friendly link-shield gun users to either strengthen their own beams or allow them to create larger and more powerful shields. The shield would only block incoming weapons fire, so that while enemies can't shoot anyone behind the shield, they would still be able to walk through it. To increase the effectiveness of the shield, it should only drain the weapon's ammo when hit.

Though I still like UT2k4's multiplayer. Nothing can beat that.

Hi. To make it short, I've played ChaosDM/ChaosUT, and they're great mods. I just had to throw in this idea.
Blunderbuss:
Loads in a random amount of different types of ammo (4-7 maybe?). For example, one load of the blunderbuss might load in a flak shell, 10 bullets, a lightning round, and a rocket.
Primary: Fires ammo. Each type of ammo produces a different type of shot from the gun which is less powerful (and maybe less accurate?) than the corresponding gun firing the ammo.
Secondary: Loads or reloads gun to get different random results.
I was also thinking of something else where the gun could suck in different items such as weapons/health/ammo lying around and cause different effects when firing... as in suck in a bastard sword and it'll fire it out as a projectile or something... That could be used to replace the secondary as well.
Oh, and the model would need a counter just to make it more ridiculous. The counter would display a random number but when fired would always reset to 0.
Yea, sounds hard to implement probably but I figured such an idea would fit into Chaos and right now I'm too lazy to implement something similar in a mod myself.
Can't wait to see Chaos for UT2004!

Sweet... this I would like to see in CUT2 but not as a handheld weapon but as a turrent in DOC *now I can't remember what they are called they are like a giant bow w/ a super long arrow they were used as siege weapons...* oh or this could be a new chaos vehicle that could be deployed like the Levi, so it could be used as a vehicle or a turrent... just another idea

A ballista?
Weapon ideas:
1. A hand-held howitzer cannon - It fires the same round as the Goliath's main cannon, making the wielder a walking tank. The accuracy and amount of ammo you can carry should probably be pretty low in order to make it balanced.
2. The Smiter - A chaotic superweapon that targets one random enemy every time it is activated. Can kill wielder. Primary fire sends a giant lightning bolt down from the sky (or sends a swarm of locusts, hand of God, the plague, causes him to spontaneously combust, etc.) and OBLITERATES a random enemy (or the wielder), while secondary fire sends down an ion cannon blast (or redeemer explosion that obliterates anyone nearby, but leaves the target unharmed and gives him/her full shields, health, all weapons, full ammo, and the Speed, Booster, and Berzerk adrenaline combos, and a cool looking cloak of flames. This mode can target anyone. This weapon should be capable of 3-4 smites or one big blast.
For more chaos, the weapon should have an advanced weapon option that sacrifices the wielder to summon a CHAOS DEMON LORD!!! Upon activation, the sky turns a blood-red and dark clouds form over the arena. A giant flaming meteoritel crashes down from the sky on the wielder obliterating him and any others in a redeemer-sized blast radius. The surrounding earth will be scorched and flaming, like what happens when napalm grenades explode, and from the core of the blasted meteorite, the Demon Lord rises up and begins his rampage. This guy would look like a Warlord in Invasion, but twice as big, and equipped with a giant flaming war-blade, and breaths fire. He will be covered in flames at all times, red when he's fighting for Red Team, blue when fighting for Blue Team, and green when he wants to kill everything. Any man stand within 3 feet of him will recieve damage. This guy would have an enormous amount of hit points and shields, like 10,000 or higher, and he would have an insatiable desire to
DESTROY. He will attack any nearby enemy player, but if no enemies are available, he will proceed to destroy friendlies, until some enemies show up. He should be able to move pretty fast, like between a Hellbender and Scorpion. To keep things balanced, he won't be able to attack power nodes or power cores. He shouldn't use the normal melee attack animations, but use special animations that emphasize his brutal and powerful fighting style. His kills would go into the score of whoever summoned him, and extra point will be given to the enemy player who manages to strike him down. The MuG's icer and any melee weapons should be more effective against him than the other weapons. In fact, this guy could become some sort of super-boss in Defenders of Chaos or Invasion.
Even the strongest and bravest men will wet themselves if they ever see this towering monstrosity rampaging their way.

How about creating a kind of super-ammunition for each of the weapons, turning them each into superweapons? Make it really rare or hard to get. Maybe a deadly spider-proxy for the Claw-2, or cluster/needle grenades for the Grenade Launcher, or triple-cutter blades for the C.U.T.T.E.R., or the Javelins for the Crossbow, or a chemical/biohazard spray for the MUG.

I like that idea... It's interesting, sort of a new take on the whole superweapon concept. Good idea!

some weapon ideas/balancing ideas
Combo attacks:To give more teamplay to team dm,make so that some weapons combine attacks,like you shoot a rocket and freeze it just as its shot,to make a ice rocket,anything in the splash area of it when it explodes is frozen,for example
Balancing:
Xbox:fully charged arrows should be instahit,arrwos should do more dmg
Cutter:slower rate of fire,more dmg,faster projectiles,replace the 2nd attack with a ripper going like |,it rolls around and does more dmg
RL:homing rockets should be slower or do less dmg than normal ones
