I do not start with the Chaos-Shortcut.
And the problem is still there.
I have no solution.
It's the same problem like with Deathball.
One has to restart UT2003... :(

ok a few (unpractical) ideas:
(to understand this we put each of the melee weapons into 2 classes: heavy and light.)
instead of light med and heavy stances just have

LIGHT WEAPONS (daggers etc.)
this class of weapon attacks VERY fast and can attack many times in a given amount of time (about 4x/sec) but do little damage.

right-clicking will make them raise thier shield towards the direction pressed.

offensive stance: right hand a weapon, and left hand a shield
left click attacks with left weapon(a heavier, slower, more damaging attack)
right click raises the shield, but much slower now. also in direction pressed

HEAVY WEAPONS (double ax, hammer, and katana)
heavy weapons are big, cumbersom, and slow(about 1 swing/sec), but knock the crap out of anyone they hit. also both hands are needed to control theses heavy weapons of war. these also (usualy) have the best range and damage.

def. stance:right and left hand hold the same weapon
left clicking attacks with the weapon
right clicking blocks with the weapon

offensive stance:
left clicking attacks from left to right or form top to bottom
right clicking attacks from right to left or from bottom up

i know is a little complicated but i think it would be bad@$$!!!!!!! :P :twisted: :twisted: and yes i know it would be alot of work and prb wont happen.
but hey just an idea..
Katanas are lightweight, and do swing fast. Only fast weps can do the swing in game. Katana can swing-slash.

Right now that would be in a KoTH game. KoTH will support Melee but none of our maps have Melee Weapons in them atm.

And we have tweaked the weapons to make them spill a bit more blood now.

First impression of pr2... hmm...
A hell of an improvement. Before, I couldn't get used to anything, it was all so alien, and now, it's easier to figure out and I even learned a few combo tricks with some of the weapons

So, you guys already have ideas for the LinkGun and AR replacements?

Ran into a Inv server a while ago that combined the EO and CUT2 together and gave everyone every weapon(and default ammo)
I tell ya, 16 people firing CUT2 and EO at the same time is pure insanity(and a few vortex's in the mix didn't help make it more sane)

I am thinking its more of the way UT2k3 loads packages. The only way to unload them is to quit UT2k3 :( Unless there is another way? Could you start an IA game of normal UT. Play for a sec, then try??

Maybe you could make it reload the default UT2003 package after quitting a Chaos game... Perhaps that would force it to focus on the default package instead of chaos?

no no, giblicious is a mutator that lets you change how many gibs you get for gibbing someone. you set it up to 10x the gibs and people EXPLODE. i tried it with melee but they dont gib, so the mutator dosn't work.
