So, what, the medieval weapon ideas weren't yanked from literature or some other medium? You knew of these from memory?

:p

I guess you could argue that they were yanked from literature , but someone cant copyright actual historical events and designs ( well , they can copyright designs , but those copyrights will eventually cease to apply) plus our medievil weapons arent based on any copyrighted material , just swords , axes , hammers , etc.

Halo on the other hand is something HIGHLY copyrighted and we would be in big trouble copying something from that. plus we like to think we can be more original than that. ;)

EDIT also in afterthought , you can spot a few obscure references to media in certain aspects of chaos if youre very keen , but none of them are as blatently obvious as vehicle or weapon designs.

well that right there is a no-no. We're against using/borrowing ideas from other games/movies/television/literature/any other forms of media for various reasons.
Not to mention that Halo is a very bad game.

Compared to UT2k4 yeah... But in its time it was thought to be one of the best games out there... though terrible in multiplayer.

now now, deapblade, just because you can't use a sh*tty 40-lb. xbox controller doesn't mean you should put down halo... The two things i liked best about halo were the glow effect when you shoot someone and taking down peeps in warthogs with my handgun. mabey chaos should consider that glow effect... ne way, I lost my sweet hoverbike drawings so I'll do my best to redraw them on adobe photodeluxe. They kicked a**.

The glow effect is already in UT2k4. It's called shields.

yes, but in ut you only glow if you got a shields pickup and then got hit. i'm talking about glowing WITHOUT extra pickups/shields.

That would only confuse people. They wouldn't be able to know whether an enemy or friend has shields or not.

Indeed that's true.

Indeed I can't handle an xbox controller (I never played on an xbox) but I played it on a computer and I didn't like it at all.

Not to mention that the game and the xbox are both Microshit

How about an slow-moving, armed, VTOL dropship, similar to the ones in the AS-FallenCity map?

Or (this might seem a little boring, but I'd still like it) the UT2K3 Bulldog?

Sorry but choas doesn't use things they didn't make, even if it is from EPIC.

actually I'd like to point out that the Jumpboots were included in UT2k3 , but yeah we generally wont use models or skins or sounds that werent homegrown. . .

To be honest, this has gotten stretched just a bit. It is true we do not wanna use stuff from other popular games and movies and mods and whatnot. And we do prefer to do our own stuff.

But we are in fact allowed to use Epic's stuff, and from time to time we'll do just that.
