Why was the scanner removed from madhouse? Just curious.

Umm, last time I checked madhouse servers were down permanently. Or is this an after-the-fact question?

I think he means the mootown server
My understanding is hasben took it out because it gives the others a chance that cant read it CHAZ{KEA}

...or maybe he removed it because some players turn it on and leave it on (use it constantly no matter how small or basic the map) and the continual playing of the scanner soundfile is about as pleasant to listen to as a squealing fanbelt.

I guess that would make sense. That scanner is pretty annoying.

lothar i love your humor! i agree, im thinking about removing it from my server. i cant stand the sound it makes, and plus if ur good u dont need it. ive never used it and i do just fine
