Shootable Proxies

Will proxies be shootable? That is, if you see one chasing you, could you shoot it to either explode it or maybe knock it away? In CUT, I know you could sometimes kick proxies away, and I'm assuming this will also be true in CUT2? If it is, then it should work similar to the way it did in CUT, where kicking a proxy didn't always work, but it might be cool to have proxies be shootable too. I don't know, though. It might make them less effective. I suppose the only way to know would be to try it and see how it affects gameplay.

They do sustain damage, yes... Trio of rockets works well for close range if a pack is chasing you...

Yeah, damn those proxies. They are pretty smart. And fast. In fact they might not only be faster than I am, they also seem to be smarter than me.

Cool... Intelligent Proxies are definately a plus... People will definately need to listen carefully to avoid stepping into a proxy trap... And of course, proxies should be as dangerous to the person that uses them as they are to everyone else...

it would be even deadlier if the proxies turned invisible when you did the adrenaline combo for invisible...

I think we've spoken about this on occasion

Have Proxy's reacting to your Adrenaline state when you launch them or any other state you are in... IE: poisoned from poison arrows or grenades, they come out sick, shorter life, slower, etc...

Oh, great... like they aren't fast enough already, now 2x? LOL

Maybe limiting it to 1 proxy takes on your adrenaline status, but they all take on your poison, flames, etc status...

I think Proxy need to be more deadly :) . It would be funny if they would hang on ceilings hiding, then when you walk by they drop down on you :twisted: . Proxy should get mad if you attack or kick them and go after you more often. There should even be a combo that will make all proxy obey you. It would be even cooler if you go shoot a dart that gave someone a smell that proxy love, then they would be chasing that person all over the place :twisted: ! You could even give them orders like guarding the flag, covering you, chasing down the guy who stole the flag and just about order that works with your team mates. Just like in UT, they could turn on you at any time and maybe even have proxy "spies" randomly appear in the map without anyone doing anything. They would be the color that is shown on the website. Proxy could even take health packs when their low on health and even grab shields and double damage! If you see a purple glowing proxy, run as if there were more then one proxy after you or your going to die. Maybe a bit "too much" ideas and programming, but that would make the game more random and you won't quite know what goes on so often.

In the sound pack that I recently made with proxy sounds, I had 3 sounds for a poisoned proxy, and one for a proxy in fire. I was thinking that a proxy thats in an area where a poison grenade went off would be poisoned. Dunno if it should really effect them at all. Maybe make them turn green, or make a little poof of poison gas in addition to thier explosion. But it would only effect proxies that came in contact with poison or fire. Would be a great way to turn someone's poison or napalm against them. Some dude could be owning the map with poison or napalm grenades and then someone comes along and shoots a bunch of proxies into his poison cloud, then the grenade freak is running from proxies loaded up with his own poison!

It would be cool if you could see arrows sticking out of proxies that had been shot, too... If you see a green proxy jumping around with an arrow sticking out of him, you'll know he's full of poisons... Plus getting hit by a poisoned proxy would be worse than a regular proxy if you got poisoned from it on top of the blast damage.

Proxies could catch fire too, and maybe increase their speed and just move randomly and erratically, screaming like a banshee, rolling occasionally... When they exploded (possibly time-based once on fire), it would act like a small napalm-grenade...

If that sounds cool to the devs, I can make more proxy voices for this stuff.

As it was, I didn't make all the sounds I wanted to cuz I wasn't sure if you guys would like them, but since it seems like you do, I'm willing to do plenty more, just let me know what you want.

This giant proxy sould explode redeemer style and cover the area with with flak thats what i think
