'blades

what this mod really needs is rollerblades :spin:
like jumpboots, but for speed;
players equipped with 'blades move faster but turn slower and do more damage with the kick attack. however, they move uphill much slower, have decreased jumping ability and get sent flying backwards by impacts/recoil :)

Dunno, might be too similar to the speed combo.

But I like the creativity. Got any more?

Since the grappling hook allows you to survive long falls... how about a adren bonus for skydiving if the player has been falling for a bit before the hook begins pulling them. (Might be able to get at falling time via the damage you take from falling too far).

Just a thought :)

Douglas Adams yes... but in fact it's from "Mostly Harmless". 8O
I knew I'd heard/read it before :D

Memory not being what it used to I looked it up & found this page full of quotes from Mr. Adams...

Shows how little you know. "Mostly Harmless" is the fifth book of the HHGTTG trilogy.

Note fifth in a trilogy :P

Yes it was, but i think he took HHGTTG to mean only the first book, not the rest of the series.

Oh, and if you get the hardback version of the HHGTTG series (all combined into one), Mostly Harmless is the sixth book. There was another story added before it that was called Young Zaphod Plays it Safe, if i remember, which I think was inserted after Life, the Universe, and Everything. Of course, this is completely off topic anyways, but how about adding a new superweapon that is called "You did not check your local planning office" and have its primary be suddenly bulldozing a wide area (think about a slice of a redeemer explotion, like a slice of pie, but extended to a longer range). The secondary fire would be the same as the ion painter's primary fire but would not require a satelite to be included in the map....

Never having heard of "Young Zaphod Plays it Safe" before, I Googled and came up with this: http://www.recrea.f9.co.uk/hhgttg/playitsafe.htm
It appears to be a short story. Thus not *part* of the HHGTTG, but inspired and based upon the same material.

I don't know what word was censored there, not that I want to know. 8O

Maybe you wanted more detail on the signatures... I spoke with him, shook his hand (yes I have since washed it :roll: )... One of them is on the original HHGTTG. :D

I think, the grapple always worked online in UT1 Chaos v1.1... I played it recently and didn't have an issue. Are you sure you have the full v1.1 installation and not a GOTYE->v1.1 upgrade? GOTYE was actually a Beta v3.5, then came BETA 4, then v1.0 and then v1.1. The v1.1 upgrade only works for v1.0 installations, not for GOTYE.
