I love the adrenaline that I get from flag battles, but it makes me mad when a sniper kills me instead of the other flag carrier. It stops my rash right then and there. I only play for the adrenaline, but isn't that what we all really play for?
Losing is all part of the game, but that's just cheap when a sniper does that. I, being a sniper myself, can relate to sniping careless victoms, but there are times when you shouldn't shoot.

Dude...., you and I, we are two diferrent people. That's all I can say.
If I'm CTF'in, and my sniper teammate did not at least attempt shoot everything of another color, and at every opportunity, we'd have to sit down and have us a friendly little chat.
And Heaven help his 'Lone Star' arse if he watched the flag carrier go by w/o even trying to heat up the muzzle of that thing just a bit. And I don't even care if the FC has just been slapped in the face with a glove, accepted a duel to defend his honor, and taken 9 of his 10 paces.....I'd still want Gasman to drop him in his boots with a crisp flamey headshot.
Its not crispy with chaos, its just a bullet between the eyes
I will admit its annoying if the other team has a really good sniper and you cant even get near their base, but then again, it is a contest of skill is it not?
About the knowing someone is talking thing: when are they considered fair game again? 2 seconds after their message? when they start moving? when they realize you are standing right in front of them and get a no-skill headshot? hehe, personally i usually stand patiently and wait till they start moving again, then start trying again. If someone hasnt come up and fragged me by then that is
As a side note, in a match where im dying a lot, i try to type when im dead before i respawn.
I make Darth Vader look like a teenage punk with a lightsaber.
Well.. i've done the 'nice' thing and asked if you would like to play sometime... seems that's not enough... The honorable thing to do is just you and stick you in a game. So, ... Ok, I don't have a glove, but the trout will do...

Snipers are fun to go after. I personally like finding them and killing them to defend my teammates. However, if you're going to sit there somewhere where a sniper can cap you, I wouldn't suggest typing. They should put in a bullseye to hover over someone's head when they stop and type. Most maps have someplace that is safe from snipers.
If you're not having fun, it's because I shot you in the head.
If you can't get pass a sniper, why not beat them at their own game or rush in the base with more teammates? I say it takes a sniper to beat a sniper and if someone has my flag, I'm not going to let them run off with it, I'm going to take their head off for it. I don't quite understand what you mean when it is cheap for a sinper to kill a flag runner. As for type kills, they are cheap, but what if someone is not really typing and just doing it to make it seem like they are?
Mad Member with lots of ideas and questions and somewhat good fragging skills.
if you wanna type ...juste hind in a corner where no ennemies will see you and type.... don't stay in the middle of the game and after that start cursing cause your dead
I actually do understand what he's on about, but I strongly disagree that when you have the flag on your back (I wish they were still on your back! Epic put them in your hand now...logical maybe, but looks worse) in a team game is the time to expect that.
On our MooTown Q2Chaos DM server, it is quite common for friends and I to find each other somewhere alone in an otherwise crowded map, and draw blades and duel. And many folks who might then find us doing so, will let us be. This, I believe, is related to what he's on about.
But in a team game, while carrying the flag, which is the center of attention, the object of the game, and then to expect others to lay down arms, and stop playing, while you have your duel, is too much to ask. IMO.
