I really liked the katana from U4e. The model was cheasey(IMO), but the idea and concept was great.
All though if i was going to actualy use it, it would have to be the Chaos Sword. 2 good whacks and they are down, plus ya can get head shots with it, Not to mention that ya can block small projectiles as well as other melee weapons. and it gets bloody as you use it. what more could you ask for?

i still remember how to get the chainsaw in the first level of doom 2. and the shotgun and the rocket launcher in doom 2. doom 2 was fun.

chainsaws are always fun :p even if its impossible to hit anyone with the UT one.

Well if the melee combat system in CUT2 is all we're hoping it will be, hitting things will be much more intuitive (not neccessarily easier, since the fighting system will probably include defensive moves as well as offensive moves), but definately more fun. Plus, since the melee combat defaults with a 3rd person camera, it indicates that there will be some excellent 360 degree tactics involved in it, probably like Jedi Knight 2.
