does the C.U.T.T.E.R. do a little too much damage?? I don't mind the head shots, but wow those things hit for A LOT of damage.. Was this intended or no?

yes it was. the previous version had the ripper firing a lot slower and doing less damage than the UT one. Part of the reason for the high (well I dont think its that high actually) damage is its hard to hit anything with it except in narrow corridors. there is a current issue with the headshots not being an instant kill (I hit someone standing still in the head three times in the same spot and the third time (which would have killed anyway) gave a headshot.)

Actually its not really an issue imo. Headshots do double damage for the weapons set to have them. The normal ripper does 30 to 40 damage (cant remember exact number). The headshot does double that. That puts it less than 100. So if the person receiving the headshot has 100 health, it wont kill them. The same thing happens with the bow.
The reason why its not normally seen is that the lightning gun and the sniper are both VERY high damage (near 80 to 90 i think). This means that a headshot can do between 160 and 180 damage. This is about enough to kill all but the healthiest of players without shields.

I got one where a bot and i both unloaded five arrows at each other, point blank, and both of us scored headshot kills with multiple arrows LOL

I had one where I and a bot mutually sniped each other's heads off across a map. It was funny cuz I could actually watch the bot's bullet fly down my scope...
