Remote mines???

How about using some sort of third ammotype for the claw2. Speciffically , remotely detonatable mines of some sort. These would add a ton of possibilites to the strategy and team aspects of the game.Remote mines have done wonders for such games as red faction , timesplitters2 , goldeneye , etc...
Also , if any of you do decide to implement remote mines of some sort , they MUST be attatchable to players , AND inconspicuous. that way you could turn a teammate into a living bomb , or let an enemy team member deliver painful doom unto his unsuspecting comrades.
OH and an on-mine camera like the one on the xloc would be a useful feature too.

yeap I have used them over the years in other games, like dukes good ol pipe bombs
I can not promise anything. We are getting a lot of great ideas. We can not do them all. But we can try to work on some of them!!!

I used the remote mines in TimeSplitters 2 and watching the bots run around helpless knowing that you could trigger their death at anytime had a nice, evil and "in control" feeling

. On the other hand, knowing that they could trigger your death anytime if they shot one on you had a, not sure how to put into words feeling. You get my vote for seeing these in CUT2 and they should be 3rd ammo for the Claw 2.

Heh.. Goldeneye.. Man, my friends hated having the remote mines on. I love the things though, so if you guys can do it, you've got my vote.

You could toss out the current grenades in the AR, and throw in pipe bombs. The change weapon function key would detonate them.
Heck, that would kick ass.

anyone rember the mutator slave master for UT, could we get a game type like that in chaos
for those who don't know what its about
it is a mutator that when you kill someone they have to pick up weapons and ammo and tag ppl for killing for you in order to get back in the game

We have talked about something like that for the claw. A needler ammo if you will. Think of a ball with needles out from all sides. First fire mode is to shatter the ball to send out a stream of needles. 2nd fire mode is to shoot the ball out intack so it sticks to players....then booom remember the sticky bombs from Shadow Warrior?????

That would be cool... Attach a few to your teammate's butt and he'd run around blasting fire out his ass...

Remote mines and/or Plasma Grenades (like in halo.. stick one on... hilarity ensues) would be great.
Heh, both could be done actually, plasma grenades could be implemented in the grenade launcher, where as remote mines could be done using the claw2.
