Chaos 1.02 on Linux RH9.0

Post by Mandible »

hello folks,
Been using your new chaos on my windows machine for a couple weeks now, but I run a Linux Dedicated Server. I have the DE and Epic and Patch on this server and I've also installed your latest .zip files.
Whenever I turn on my UT2k3 server I get that it can't find the server packages of your files.
If anyone has a solution to this I'd be much obliged. I can get the exact printout if the answer doesn't jump out at anyone.

Thanks.

Did you make sure to add in the serverpackages to the servers ini?

In the Engine.GameEngine section

ServerPackages=MultiPickup
ServerPackages=ChaosGames_UI
ServerPackages=ChaosGames
ServerPackages=ChaosUT

And you also unzipped the files to the correct locations right? If you have all of the above, please restart the server and send me the logfile so we can see what's going on.

found the problem, seems the installer for Linux or the .zip file at least doesn't have all the files in it, perhaps this should be looked at, mine was missing sound files, animation files, model files and the MultiPickup.u file.
Seems to be working properly now hope this helps someone else with the problem, every time I ran the server I found another file missing that I ported over from my working windows install which was done with a umod on windows, perhaps the .zip files need a relook.

Sounds like you might have used the patch, not the full mod.
