how does combat work?

hey guys how does it work?. for those of you that played it.. and those of you still working on the next ver. yoru programming in moves right?. and yoru using ragdoll for when you get hit?. or only killed?. is their any recoil animation if you hit a weapon..
any plans on armor? that could have their own set of hit points?. mini attached models to the player that would be destroyed upon the ending of their lives?.
that woulda been something.. dont only ppick yoru weapons but yoru amors, in game.. wear your heavy plates and yoru moves become slower, less accurate, you become slower overall.. but your are physically actually protected from blows.. until the armor pieces are really detroyed?. a nice lil localised damage system,, your arm gets broke you live until you bleed to death or heal, you cant attack with that arm?. ..

OK MELEE IN A NUTSHELL...
Listen up , because you're only allowed to read this once. Its top secret (hush hush)
ahem... In melee , You swing your weapon at your oponent. If you hit their body , they take damage , and spooge blood. If you hit their weapon , you get awarded with a clanky sound.
clear enough??
now dont let me catch you re-reading that...

is there hit sounds for when you hit a foe or wood or stone with the sword (like a metal cutting flesh, hitting wood, stone..ect kind of sound or something)

there probably is ... um go to the link R.Flagg posted, and go to the melee 101 part in there it talks about what happens when u hit a wall and stuff. But oh man I forgot about alot of the stuff mentioned before, and all I can say is that this should be good

. In any case if there isn't who cares that can always be added in later.

All of the moves are done. We are just fine tunning the weapons and squishing the final bugs.

No. Normally rag doll physics is not replicated in net games. A few mods found a way to force it but it is a bit bandwidth intesive. We do play some hit animations

You better get used to pus, cuz there's gonna be that and a whole lot more spilling out of your victims when you get your hands on these babies.
And as for hit sounds, I think you guys will enjoy smacking things with the Hammer... I made sure there was lots of bass in those sounds
