ChaosUT PR2.0 Bug Thread

Folks,

thats right PR2.0 will be ready for public use very soon. So we are starting this thread to collect all bugs so we can fix them ASAP. With Duel and melee we have added a lot of custom content and that opens the door for bugs that we did not find. One limitation we know of is that some custom models may not work with Duel/melee. We only had time to test them on the standard ones included with UT2k3.

Anyways please post your bugs here:

Edit, I removed the other posts to keep this thread on topic. The last one got to 9 pages with real bugs so wanted to keep it to the point. Its ready folks :)

The Sapphire playermodel will, in offline duel mode, deform at the "You've Won the Match" screen when holding a melee weapon; with an elongated neck, arms, etc.

I got the message " missing mechStandard" while trying to play a duel game

it's not just sapphire, all the smaller models, especially the female models will deform and be stretched, it happens during the fights too, it's just more noticable at the end after the match is faught.

i think its the we we linked animations to the frame. Alien models feet show it too. Basically.. and correct me if im wrong...we linked one set of generic animations to all of the default models. Some of them have their own animations (like the aliens would have specific ones for feet, the females have ones to account for their neck size). The distortion would be the engine trying to match the skeletons to our animations.

Something I'd call a bug because it's not mentioned in the readme:
You need the Epic Bonuspack (ChaosUT.u depends on SkaarjPack.u) to play this version. You'll notice when there are no weapons on the map anymore besides the LinkGun. ;)

Another thing: That Duel announcer's voice has a too low pitch IMHO. You can hardly understand what he's talking about.
OK, that might not be a bug, but you know how people reacted to the UT2k3 announcer first. ;)

Sorry about that .. I tought I had the bunos pack installed. I just installed them and now everything works welll.

BTW..... NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!! you guys really have talent and do a very good job with evrything in this mod..... keep up the good work

This may not be a bug, but a weapon placement messup. When using the double daggers, when the other dagger on the left hand is by your side, the angle is messed up which means it'll look like the dagger is stabbing through your hand or your holding it strangely.

I found two bugs, sometimes when I shot the needler ball the smoke is green, and when it explodes the smoke is green, but this hardly ever happens, and one of the alien models that was fighting in duel because I lost a match was fighting by holding his axe like a gun. :roll:

One more thing how does invasionproxy work, when I look threw the list of games all I have is normal invasion?

I got this at the end of a Match with a GODLIKE Mr. Crow after about
10 matches with best out of 3.

the dissappearing crosshair bug is still not fixed (shoot sniper until your out of ammo and it will switch back to another weapon but without crosshair )

One bug I think I found was that if your player model is anything, no matter wha yo always make the human "hurt" sounds whenever you get hurt.
