I really liked the weapon ammo switch keybind in CUT2.
Is there any way this could be added to CUT1 as a quick patch?
CUT1 Idea
Re: CUT1 Idea
I am afraid that is not easy at all. The way weapons work in UT and UT2k3 are very different. UT2k3 allowed use to make the weapon swictch easier and thus made the switch ammo key easy. We would have to re-write lots of code files to do that for CUT1Iceboy wrote:I really liked the weapon ammo switch keybind in CUT2.

Jb
ah ok...
Hmmm... I know U4E did something like that, but that was the alt-fire on most weapons which doesn't work since all Chaos weapons have alt-fire.
I was mainly wondering cause i know you can cycle weapons/ammo by hitting the weapon # button thats mapped in UT. However, I use the wheel mouse primarily so it's somewhat annoying having to scroll through 3 crossbows to get to the next weapon.
Oh well, if its an engine limitation thats ok.

Oh yeah,
I forgot about the animosity between the two fan bases...
Eh, I haven't even touched U4E2003 yet.
I think I kinda gave up after finding issues with Fortress and then finding out they had no plans to deal with them after one of their major project leads vanished, but they wouldn't attempt to get a replacement.
Good mod, just not nearly as polished as Chaos, and not nearly as professional. That is my opinion purely.

I sorta like some of the U4E2003 weapons, but it looks like they just implemented them and didnt bother putting on the finishing touches or balance-tweaking them. The concepts behind some of them are decent but they just dont feel real. And then when you compare it to Chaos, which has nice-looking and nice-feeling weapons AND more, like grapple, spraypaint, talking bombs (proxies!)...
Well, need I say more?
