Help! Chaos UT2k3 Problem! Mod only works in a 50/50 manner!

Hi, I just downloaded the ChaosUT 2 PR2.0 full release, the umod version which weighs in at 85mb or so compressed.

The mod installed fine but doesn't seem to work properly. When I play it only certain components of the mod work.

The Grappling hook and Anti-grav belt work and the AG belt spawns. However, non of the CUT2 weapons spawn and their spawn locations simply remain empty, as though waiting to respawn an item.

Furthermore, when I try to load one of the two levels that seem to come with CUT2(Pyramid or Arena), or when I try to start a multiplayer server of any kinds(DM, KOTH, Duel, whatever) with CUT2, the game bombs out while loading the level complaiing that it is unable to load SkaarjPack.u or something similar to that.

I have UT2k3 v2225 but I don't have any of the bonus packs(Damn UT2k3 mod stuff is heavy on us 56k modem users

. Is this the problem, or is it related to something else? I find it kind of bizarre that only certain parts of the mod work for me, as opposed to either all working or all not working.

Anyway, hopefully someone could please give me some help with this...

Yep, you need the bonus packs. Don't we have that listed as a requirement somewhere?

We do have it listed. It may need to be made more 'visible'... if you need both bonus packs, I'd be happy to burn them to CD for ya and send em out. Sorry for your troubles. Also make sure that you have the Chaos entries listed in your ut2003.ini in the serverpackages section, there should be 3 chaos**** files listed and 1 multipickup file.

Both bonus packs? Would that be the Epic and DE bonus packs? Because I don't have the DE pack and I can play Chaos no problem.

Same here. I just downloaded the Epic BP and chaos works perfectly.

I know the Epic BP is required. Not sure if any of the our maps use content from the DE BP as theres was only maps.

Well, I'm not very certain about the bonus pack being listed as a req, since I haven't seen it anywhere in the help files installed with the mod.

Thanks for the offer of burning it, but I live in South Afrca, so it would most likely not reach me intact.

Don't worry though, I'll just add the bonus pack into my queue. After I've finished with Shattered Oasis tonight I'm sure I'll be able to have the Epic BP in by Sunday

I've only been putting off getting the BPs because I only just recently started grabbing mods

Ahh well, here goes. Thanks all. But remember, please make that BP req a lot more visible. I really saw no sign of it anywhere in the docs or on the sight...

our download page does list this as a requirement now (The BP back). Again sorry for your issues.
