Any Plans for more melee weapons?

Are there any plans to expand the available melee weapons?

Something like Bowstaffs, Sai, Nuchucks...etc...

Well its hard to saw atm...the first task is to see how to get a couple of weapons that you could throw maybe?

umm we already have arrows. And Chairs , bottles and throwing knives are all from the recently released XIII. I wonder if theres a connection? :roll:

Seriously tho, it would be interesting if there was a way to have multiple weapons randomly spawned on a map and just run up to one hit "use" and use that as your weapon(chair, table leg, etc)

Well, let's see. Realistically, what would you put in. Using the basic code of daggers with minor tweaks, you could toss in tonfa.
Chain weapons would be severely difficult, so I'll leave that alone for now.
Hook swords would be good, they could sort of drag the player around when they get hit by them.
A halberd or naginata would be just wicked! Just make sure they're balanced well.
The weapon I'd want to see more than any other is a scimitar. Heavy damage, mostly slash moves, but hard to aim and takes a second to recover after swinging the beast.

Yeah partiasn (sp?) type weapons would be nice, but boy would they be dangours with all that reach. Then again you would also run the risk of constantly hitting walls with such a weapon.... uh how about a rapier type weapon... yeah with mainly thrusting, stabbing moves?

well,i think energy weps could be cool,a energy blade,plasma scimitar,Electro daggers,would be cool,adding a secondary attack to daggers where you throw one to do half dmg for all the round after that becouse you only have 1 left,that would be cool

tooth daggers or sumthin like that?not too chaotic,i would like to see a energy wep,like a plasma sword,hard to block,but low long time damage becouse it burns

Right now we're discussing an idea I had to implement a Khopesh and Scimitar for the egyptian characters. They would be used together, like the dual daggers.
