Chaotic Dreams

Very happy to see so many user made maps here in the forums. This is excellent, and the Chaos team wants to support you guys. We are eventually going to have a completely redone web site, but in the meantime, I am putting together a Chaos Community Maps Page.

If you would like to have your map posted there, simply post a reply to this thread, with a zip file to your map. If you need help with that part, please speak with FurrySound.

It won't be hard to get your map listed, but please make sure you read the post about Duel mapping guide, and include a Chaos logo and the ChaosUT2 lettering somewhere in the map. Oh, and please include a properly named readme.

"Duel-DeadAir.txt" is a good example of naming a readme. As opposed to "readme.txt".

And if you want to be helpful, please include a 225x169 sshot for the page.

This entire post and everything in it is subject to change after my cohorts read it and offer feedback.

200x150 is such a better number... but it doesn't matter really.

Why there must be a Chaos logo in the map

too bad atleast 1 map maker is awayyy imo

I'm hoping for different logo SM's as the standard one is a bit gaudy.

Since our mod leaves Epic's weapons and stuff in the game, just about any map could be called a 'Chaos' map.

(Granted Duel is a bit dif, since it requires Chaos, but it sure would be great to get maps for other game types as well. We will soon be working on ChaosCTF for example.)

And so in order to prevent us from sorta becoming a hosting place for anyone with a map, we are asking that they have the Chaos stuff in them. But if you are willing to do that, then we are happy to host and promote it for you.

LeFilou, post a pic here, or slap it in your zip, either way is fine with me.

well i would like to see more non-duel gametype chaos maps tooo,and a non night non duel ctf map,(think's of rats)(Thinks of a map CUT-CTF/DM-Proxys )

Uhm... How do I add Chaos stuff to my map? Can I do that? Or do you mean just the PIC of a logo?

There is a file of statics that is in our map folder.. ChaosMapItemz or something similar.. it should have logo stuff if you need it.
