CUT weapon changes

'Lo guys.
I know you are creating CPP's for the assault rifle, but what of the shieldgun, link and a second superweapon? What are the plans you have in mind?

- For the shield gun why don't you just convert it into the melee weaponsor something? They are like the SG but are like swords and clubs etc ecause they all have to ge close to the opponent to use them and the alt fire isn't offensive.

- For the suprweapons its really cool to play with the ion painter, redeemer AND the gravity vortexat the same time, but will another one come along in the CUT mod?

- I think the assault rifle change is good but when I used the enforcers mut I got kind of bored after half an hour due to the fact they had been done before.

- And the link. It is pretty good as a chaos weapon now but it needs a new model (like the one on UC or UT2004) a different paintjob and new sounds. The alt fire on UC sounds pretty cool. Like the quad damage sound from quake but dragged out.

- And the melee weapons, they are going to be incorporated into the DM/CTF/BR/DOM side of things, right?

- One last thing - Is there any place I can get some more KOTH maps? I've only got three :(

I just came across CUT2 from a mention by Jet after playing with his excellent King of the Hill mod. KOTH has become my favorite game and like Scorian, I am wondering if there are more maps out there? Maybe I need to learn how to make maps in UT. :)

Great job guys. This is the best mod I have come across for UT2K3.

ok heres the deal.

the replacement for the Link will be the MuG(Mulltipurpose-Utility-Gun) which has three ammunitions , Air , Fire , and Ice

Replacement for the Other Superweapon will Possibly be the Turret. Although this is Uncertain. It is certain that turets will be implemented , but the details on how are sketchy.

as far as I know There is no planned Replacement for the shieldgun.

Trust me , Aside from Akimbo , and the fact that theyre pistols , are nothing like The enforcers. Ours featurePlenty of new funtions such as the ability to pierce a target multiple times with a single shot , and Ricochets.

Yes Melee is in the process of making its way into other gametypes.

Just browsing through quickly, but:

There is some tlak of have the melee weapons replace the shield gun, at least in our gametypes.

turrets are the second super weapon.

Link is going to be replaced by the MUG

CPPs are going to be a bit different than the enforcers from what i can tell. My personal image of them is something more along the lines of a six-shooter than a handgun (in other words, slower firing rate and more punch than enforcers/assault rifle).

There should be at least 5 KOTH maps around. Dungeon, SwampTemple, MistyValley, FishInABowl, and Pyramid off the top of my head.

Melle:I think it would be best tot have the default melle the bastard sword,and able to change it if you want via a menu like in duel,it should be worth to go to melle,its really dangerous

Cool.
I have a cool idea for a map but don't have the smallest clue of how to make it. It is BR but is in like about 15 pillars connected with bridges the ball is in the middle and its set on the side o a cliff. I'll draw it and send it to you guys if you want :)
