I'm having some serious problems with my ChaosUT2.

The darn thing just refuses to wark properly.

I installed PR20 using the .umod, and then the patch. None of the weapons would spawn in any match. I would try to duel, and the map would kill me 2 seconds out of the gate.

So I came here and did my homework. I reinstalled the whole shebang from the patch to both bonus packs, then JUST the PR20. I started it up and had ONE GOOD MATCH. Played great, the weapons cycled and everything.

But then it faltered. The only thing that stayed functional was the Duel.

So I went back, and I put in the patch. Then, everything went back to hell. Duel killed me in 1 second after match start, no weapons unless I force them. (Summon, Instant Weapon Mutator, Arena Mutator)


What the hell do I do?

That's a problem upgrading from 2.0 to 2.01. In 2.0, the round time limit was in minutes, and defaulted to 1 (or thereabouts). In 2.01, that same setting is in seconds, so you'll need to change the value in game settings.

Alright, so that's one thing down, what about the weapon spawning?

I know there was some other mention of some maps not functioning because they were set with spawn points for ut2003 weapons or something... but I tried so many with the same results.

Everything else is fine- grapple hook, Traydja, ammo replacement, shield pickup replacement. Just the weapons.

are the weapon bases empty or do they just not have chaos weapons?

Most of the time, they won't load the ChaosWeapons.

Sometimes they will be empty, with the particles surrounding just air. This happens ESPECIALLY when I activate all the other weapon mutators (Aura Rifle, Shock Rifle Magnum, etc etc)

ok, at a guess for the first part:

Check the Chaos settings for server and make sure its not set to never. Use always to make them always show up.

For the others: we use our own weapon swapping system, so you will have problems if you try to swap in/out other weapons at the same time with the exception of the linkgun (for now that is)

The default is always, and I only switched it from that to cycle once, and that's what resulted in that one good run. But when it loaded the next game, everything was back to being messed up and the setting was still on cycle. So... I don't know. :p

Can you try to run it again...then cut and past the contents of your ut2003.log (found in your Ut2003/system) file here?

thats a translocator replacement by angels wep pack or sumthin

thats the prob

it wont work with other wep replacement packs,try runnin it alone
