Chaotic Dreams

I used to own extremeties but ended up losing it in a move. This is my absolute favorite Q2 mod and I was escatic about finding it on the net. I have recently downloaded all the basic files and updates. Yet when I get into the game everything works fine until I try to pick up a weapon, then the game crashes to desktop. I could run around indefinetly in a level until I pick up a weapon. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

When it crashes:

Are you playing plain Quake2 or Quake2 with the chaos mod or both?

Are you playing online/offline on your own server?

Answering those questions will give a starting point for tracking the problem.
