Community menu in ut2k4

UT2k4 features a community menu from where you can start different mods without the need to exit the game and use another .exe to start the mod. If every somewhat substantial mod will use this option the normal UT2k4 gametypes menu will remain nice and clean. (i.e. no duel and koth gametypes between the normal gametypes. just activate chaos and you get a cool chaos menu etc. with gametypes like chaos dm, duel, koth etc) Hopefully it is also automatically switched to another user.ini when switching mods.

My question for the chaotic dreams team is: Will you guys be using this option??

Please do so and keep my ut2k4 installation nice and clean.

btw. I have been playing chaos since quake 2 and I still love it.

I don't see how we could not use this feature. Chaos has always tried to present a professional quality product to the community, and such features are only part of the reason we are so excited to be making the switch to UT2004. Though I can't speak for the whole team, I would be in favor of anything that makes Chaos clean and professional.

Cool! Thanks for the answer mate!

I kind of have the tendency to delete every non-professional looking mod from my HD. And I would hate to delete Chaos :D .

This topic has sparked interest in the Mod cumminity lately as a lot of mod authors want something much cleaner. We are working with Epic to help ensure that this feature works well. And as Shadowstar said its something that we will try to do.
