Premature ChaosUT2 in UT2004?

Many apologies if this has been posted before

I was just wondering if there was ANY way to get ChaosUT2 working with UT2004? I know most mods can be converted from K3 to K4 and was just wondering if it was at all possible to do this with ChaosUT2. The main reason being I downloaded the K3 version about half an hour ago and just wanted a quick test of it to decide whether I should get the full approved K4 version of the mod.

Thanks for any responses and sorry if this isn't possible. :)

Yeah, am definately gonna get the K4 release of ChaosUT2 now, I think. Oh well - was just hoping the K3 version was mildly compatable with K4 due to the 'UT2003 mod/map/model/skin to UT2004' thing I've heard the UT devs bragging about. Nevermind :)

..That post confused me... :P

Well the bad news is no, there is no quick and easy way to covert chaos over. Some stuff will work while others will be broken. For example the multi-ammo weapons (Nade Launcher, Claw2, Sniper, Xbow, ect) they will not work. Melee also was broke but good. So while we have made the conversion and have almost everything working again it took recoding some of the key elements. Sorry I was hoping it would be easier as well...

The compatability between the models and maps is a beautiful thing. Its going to allow us to release models and maps that have been in development for quite a while. As for plauer models, Unfortunatly we didnt get any out for 2k3, but there are atleaste 3 that we have been working on. Neolith and I both have Female models commine and i have a male. Trust me when i say that Neolith's Female model is MUST for every 2k4 install !!!!.

As for a reply, I think youll find that you will get alot of replys to any post on this forum. hehehehehe None of us are full of ourselfs. hehehe
