First mod ever

This will be my first mod ever(if i decide to make it.) Heres the idea for now:

The Construct.
It is based off of a Tribes 2 mod which is slowly dying.
Features: a fully functional deployment pack which creates items(A support beam, etc.) All can be created and placed anywhere, with any size wanted. You can make walkways, blast doors, and support walls. The basics for this is easy. Create. Create houses, blah, anything. Comes with a gun to rotate support beams and such, and to 'push' stuff foward to make slants or 'pull'.
Saving is possible and saving individual buildings is possible when you tell the latitude and longitude(on laser pointer).
Comes with any kind of force field and just about everything can be used if coded into the mod.
There is no boundary limit in some maps, but those maps are completely flat with no mountains.

Here is an example of a tribes 2 construct mod building.

the problem that UT players expect high poly models...and base buildin mods have tons of buildins, defences and if they are high poly your FPS will plummet,i think there a max size for maps

it would be nice, but i dont think coding gurus are easy to find

Well, I could 'convert' the models from the old mod, the old mod DOES have limits. Low quality building stuff, and the maps we build on are flat/have no doodads. Some, like a huge empty river with buildings buildable on any spot, even on the riverbank, dont even lower fps.
I have no experience with modding, coding, or anything, really. I could make models, though, when my modeler comes in.

P.S. I'm a bit copying off of ^shoot-me^ who is creating a stand alone game.
