DoC monsters

What kind of monsters will there be for Defenders of Chaos? Just skeletons?

And Flaggeh is the super-uber-boss-monster that will go "YAR!! Muncha Muncha!!" before it tries to eat you!!
And DemonHunter is Flaggeh's pet godzilla clone! But he goes "FHQWhGADS!!" when he tries to eat you!

What about re-animating the invasion monsters to use the melee weapons and stuff?

To expand on this more, the melee system requires the pawn to have a skeletal bone set up. The INV monsters do not have this set up. So we can not animate them using our melee system. We also can not stick arrows and other "things" in them for the same reason.

We probably could get the INV monsters into DoC, but we'd most likely have to rebuild them from scratch(creating the skeletons, tweaking the animations and such)

Sorry I should have expanded. You see the monsters use Snapshot animation. This style was used until the release of UT2k3. With this style the modeler animated the entire group of sequences, then used a tool to create a " snap shot" of it. This snap shot would contain the model in every position of the animations, and when playd, the cycle through of time would create the movement.Since this system uses multiple instances of the model and not a bone structure to move the same instance of the model it is not compatable with our Melee animations. We need a model that is rigged up on a bone structure.

Maybe we could make an uber-krall or something, just rebuild the krall with a skeletal system, and give him the staff to swing, with an optional ranged attack, and toss that into DoC as a nod to the old days of Unreal I.

I do love those little guys for some reason.
