Can't install.(Plz help. For the sake of all that is Chaos.)

I'm on a Mac, and I can't seem to install it. I used the mac folder installer app, and nothing popped up in the user mods tab of the community menu. I then tried the CUT2 starter app, and it said:
Can't make "MacintoshHD:Users:(name withheld):Library:CUT_run_prefs.txt" into a file.
Please help me before I go insane not being able to play CUT2.

did you use the mac installer? It was left out. There is a sticky at the top to help you. Sorry about that.

If you used the installer and it worked properly, I don't believe it is necessary to use the launcher. Just start ut2k4 up like normal and the gametypes and mutators will be listed. Due to an epic bug, the community menu is not working on non-win32 systems (so we just dont use it, the mod still works!) Sorry for any hassle you have had. We will be revising our mac installation methods and will write a quick tutorial like we had with CUT2k3.

I used the installer, but it still won't let me play. Also, on another login on my computer, it crashes whenever UT starts.

We are sorry for your troubles, and we will certainly help in any way we can.
When you run the installer, make sure you have the "ChaosUT2" folder (located one-level-down in the folder that you downloaded) selected in the "File Path" text box.
If it still doesnt work. You can manually install in the meantime. Right click on your unreal2004 application and select "Show Package Contents". You will see a maps folder, an animations folder...etc. Take the files from the download's map folder, and place then in unreal's map folder. Do that for every folder in the "ChaosUT2" directory and the "System" folder at the same level as "ChaosUT2". It will ask you if you want to replace similarly named items in those folders if the installer worked before. Because you are only replacing Chaos files, you have nothing to worry about, go ahead and replace em.
This will get Chaos up and running. Check the instant action menu and you should see all the new Chaos gametypes as well as the mutator in the mutator list.
If for some reason none of the above works for you and you are still crashing. Please post the text from your log file.
