Incompatibility with ONS-Maps and/or Mutators

I tested the following offline:

I installed zip Version of ChaosUT2 and started ut2004 without -mod=ChaosUT2 but i inserted:

Code: Select all

Paths=../ChaosUT2/System/*.u
Paths=../ChaosUT2/Maps/*.ut2
Paths=../ChaosUT2/Textures/*.utx
Paths=../ChaosUT2/Sounds/*.uax
Paths=../ChaosUT2/StaticMeshes/*.usx
Paths=../ChaosUT2/Animations/*.ukx
to play ChaosUT2 as the mutator Version.
ut2004 starts without complaining.
Then i select "Instant Action" -> ONS -> <some Level>
In the Mutators Tab i add the ChaosUT2: Evolution Entry to the right column of activated Mutators.
Now i hit the Play-Button. and get the Loading Screen.
After e several seconds ut2004 crashes. :(

I can reproduce this with ONS-Maps, if i start a Deathmatch with the same Settings all goes right an i can play the Level.

Even with Standard-ONS-Maps UT2004+ChaosUT2+other Mutators -> crash at Levelloading.

It does matter which Mutator i insert: ( only in connection with ONS-Maps )
ChaosUT2: Evolution +
- Big Head, Ejection --> Alright
- UT2004RPG, Gibalicous2 ---> crash
Didn't try more because everytime the game crashes and i must load it again


I try to summarize the Stuff above:
(I usually have about 6-8 Mutators activated in Offline Play.)

Instant Action:

DM-Map + < without any Mutator > --> OK :)
DM-Map + <My favorite Mutators> --> OK
DM-Map + <My favorite Mutators> + ChaosUT2-Mut --> OK

ONS-Map + < without any Mutator > --> OK :)
ONS-Map + < My favorite Mutators > --> OK
ONS-Map + < Big Head, Ejection > + ChaosUT2-Mut --> OK
ONS-Map + < UT2004RPG or/and Gibalicous2 > + ChaosUT2-Mut --> CRASH
(see above Logmessages)
ONS-Map + < without other Mutators > + ChaosUT2-Mut --> OK


I don't know wether it is a problem with ChaosUT2 and ONS-Maps or ChaosUT2 and Mutators or both.

I hope this helps to trace down the Problem.

PS: I played the some DM Level with ChaosUT2
--> Very funny, especially the blackhole that you can create with the secondary fire ;) o0( Run if you can! ;) )

yea there is bound to be some compatibility issues. For now just have to use Chaos by iteself till we can find a work around... sorry
