an chaos link gun alternate.

Ok i got the mod and been playing it like crazy. it one of the best mod i ever played ever but it has a bunch of bugs, but i already know your on them. Well anyways playing onslaught with chaos and i think it needs something besides new chaos vehicles and a light bulb came up. it problay cycle with link gun/mug i call it the nyno tech gun. primary fire shoots mircoscopic proxys that eat away at the enemys flesh and leaveing behing a singal proxy which they formed after. secondy shoot little nyno tech bugs that heal player, vehicles, nodes, ect. the primary fire should have some sort of poison damage but its not posion. primary and secondry fire a cyclone of mircoproxys/nynobugs. awo should leave a cloud of a proxy/nynos for 10 secs that ethier heal players or harm enemys. well anyways thats my idea hope you like it.

The hoverboard was not finished before release , and thusly , it is only partially complete. IT is however in the mod , although not implemented yet.
You can summon it with summon Chaosut.hoverboard

The linkgun is not replacable without messing up bots,becouse they search for the link in and the SG by filename or sumthin

thier still just bots they can still be reprogramed to be a hole new bot like a chaosbot or something. idk i don't know anything bout codeing.

I know this is an old threat,
(also hi again... still a big fan of your mod... lost alot of passwords about a year ago so I made a new account "Psycho" now I finally remembert the password from the email this account whas made with and so I could reset the password...)
About this topic...
don't know if I understand correct... but he wants to replace the linkgun with another weapon... a weapon that shoots small proxys that kill or heal/repair...
I have to say... I like the idea... but wouldn't use it...
I would remove the linkgun and give the mug the option to switch to a 3th ammo type (the linkgun ammo), it will give the same effect like the linkgun alt-fire but it will look like a green cloud (or how to call it)(like the fire and ice...)
Now I readed that it is not possible (or difficult) to make this (I think almost every thing is possible (when editing something))
I am not a programmer my self... only make maps, websites, flash stuff, director productions, images and play games...
So I also don't know who the bots see what weapon to use for repairing notes/vehicles or powering up others... but if they trigger the name of the weapon, couldn't you change that with a script... ?
So make a small stand alone script that is activatet when you use the CUT2 mod so bot's know they need to use the mug with ammo type 3 ?
Just asking and suggesting because I don't think (my opinion) that the linkgun fits with the CUT2 weapons...
so maybe you can remove it and give the mug a option to activate a linkgun option orso (like I told above)
or maybe change the model of the weapon so it fits with CUT2 (and maybe even change the primarie fire)

Just about anything can be modified with the code, but the big problems come in allowing the mod to be compatible with certain other features of the engine/game and other mods in general. If we completely replace the linkgun, then existing code (both that in the UT2k4 code and other mods and mutators) will not know to look for the new weapon, because they will still be looking for the linkgun class. Now, if we change the code that's looking for the linkgun to look for the new weapon, we're altering Epic's code itself, which is the biggest no-no any modder could do. Basically, it would be one step short of reverse-engineering the UT2k4 executable. Not to mention the fact that we simply could not release the code if we did that for reasons too numerous to list here.

Don't know if it is possible, but if you write a small script that is activatet when CUT2 is used that tells bots what weapon to use to repaire vehicles/notes if they don't have a link gun... (so you don't have to edit the engine of UT)
Don't know if that is possible, just suggesting
or maybe change the model of the weapon so it fits with CUT2 (and maybe even change the primarie fire)

I found out a way to use the unfinished hoverboard. Download the Unreal4Ever mod, go to its vehicle replacer options, and replace vehicle you want with whatever other vehicle, FROM ANY MOD! On the board use space to thrust forward quickly and use the keys to move. The AWO does not work on it though, but I think that's a bug.

spawning it or using any other vehicle replacer that shows all the vehicles works too
