Melee ONS?

I'll be willing to create gameplay sturdy small melee ons maps if it's possible. I really want this. This would be fun fun fun.

Umm… with vehicles, it'd be totally unbalanced, and without them, what's the point of Onslaught?

But seriously, the main lifeblood of ONS is the vehicles. You take that away and it's just another gametype.

I would have to agree with maetloaff on this. As for the melee being in ONS I just don't see nothing wrong with it.
Personally I look forward to taking over a enemy node using only daggers...

if we had more vehicles like the hoverbord and small maps (with some round rooms (for battleing)
it would be fun I think....maby make the vehicles do no dam ( or varry little when they hit u) because they are hoverbords so that it makes u use melee
I would make maps 2 if u do this
I think this could be the next duel
[edit] I would also talk to the chaos teem and ask if you can make this into a gametype O_O like chaos hover ons or something O_O

I want to see some Melee Assault action! Only, instead of an attacking team and a defending team, both teams have objectives to accomplish, so both sides have to do both offense and defense. This would be really cool on a sort of naval battle between pirates and royal ships.

For Chaos Onslaught, I would like to see the locations of all friendly players and proxies on the minimap. A button to expand the map would be cool too.

All I want is plain old Onslaught with melee weapons only. I'll create special maps, special vechicles, and we'll rock the world.
I have this vechicle design in mind:
Think a Hellblender. Then shrink it down to about 1/3 of it's size. Turn the wheels into small feet (is that possible?) And make it so slow that you can't run people over with it. Then attach spikes to front of the vechicles (the spikes aren't just here, the driver has to fire it, and the reload time isn't impressive.
Make the antiair turret at back of hellblender into a huge arm with a hammer extension. It'll be anti-node/core. Then tweak it's life dmg, etc with extensive playtesting. And it should be pretty balancded combined with the hoverboard.

if this happens i am also willing to make a map or 2. already have an oncoming ONS maps with small rooms but this idea has not been thought of before. and this map shows how advanced UT should be. my mapping skills may not be enough do to the absence of 3dsmax and photoshop.

but i will try my best. also working on a vctf map. both unique and with a couple easter eggs.
