2 questions/ideas

1. Would it be possible to make the total amount of players settable by edit box? instead of 1 or 4 or all, make it 5 or 6 maybe. The reason is, my cable modem upstream isnt the best, 4 man duel works great, but when i do 8 man LMS, the lag starts coming. But it seems ok with only 5-6 people, so if i could set it to that more people could play at a time.

2. WHy doesnt the server MOTD show up on the screen in Duel games? all other games are fine. They are very important in duel too for rules and stuff.

I have to think more about 1). But with 2, the MOTD was moved inside the Duel Welcome screen. Do you see it there now?

Well, the point Im getting at is I, like most, have Server Rules on my MOTD. People dont see these rules when they first join so they dont even realize they are breaking them until after its happened a few times. Thats what made that MOTD popup so great on the other ut2k4 gametypes, people could see right away the rules to follow.

I know thats a little different in Duel because of the menu that opens by default for weapon choosing, but that menu is usually quickly closed because of the slow loading time where sometimes you spawn before your screen loads and you are getting bot raped when you finally get control so many dont have time to read it.

well maybe you could put in the rules in that popup text thing u already did that with the typekilling thing "Typekilling will result in getting slayed and score reset" maybe u could also add the other rules there so people notice the rules when theyre playing ang go like oops cant do that
