My thoughts on the Hoverboard.

Awesome concept.

Here a little feedback:

The 3rd person perspective is too far away.

The speed is too much. Even for its size.

Loose the booster and put on a gravity function. So you can cling to walls and ceilings until the bar runs out. I know thats asking alot, but I don't know the first thing about the game's physics and how it plays into the game's engine.

It takes damage easy. I know its a small vehicle, but even the slightest incline does mortal damage to it. Another idea is to have the rider take more damage for hard hits (there is no protection to your body)

there are some other things but im still testing them out.

BTW off topic.... What happened to the vengence relic...little blue meanies? How do I go back to the big explosion and ensueing Chaos?

This applies to all vehicles:Make CUT weapons push it less

The big explosion was moved to the redeemer, the next patch shall have the lil blue thingy''s look better

Hehe. Wrong forum, dude.

Here are some of my thoughts:

- I like the boost, but it should have a cool boost effect to go with it so that it looks better.

- Too fast, too maneuverable.

- Riders don't take damage, it seems.

- Riders should be crouching on it, instead of standing.

Also, Chaos weapons really do push vehicles around too much.

Ya, I agree totally with that one. Maybe even put a tony hawk pro skater special move type deal where you grab the board and pull it out from under your feet for a second, hold it too long, and u fall.

We probably need custom animations for the board. Standing or crouching normally might work, but it will never look as good as an animation specifically designed for it.

Hoverboard tricks would be so awesome. That would make such a cool gametype.

it would be nice if there could be a bit of code so that when someone hops on the board it checks the bones of the models...Either a new anim or crouching

best of the both

Hrmmm.

I liked the big F U explosion from the vengence relic. Is there any way you can select between individual blue chasing skull triplets or Megaton explosion in the next patch?

If thats a yes? Phew, my prayers are answered. :D

If not...Thats very dissappointing

I know the hoverboard isn't finished, but I just thaught I'd mention that the translocator messes things up on it. You disapear but still have control of the vacant board, and you die when you get of it.

Open your ChaosUT2User.Ini and search for [ChaosUT.HoverBoard]
Change TPCamDistance= to 300 or whatever

Yea, the cam distance is usually changed by Next/PrevWeapon keys while you're in it, but since the hoverboard lets you change weapons, the cam shift gets overridden
