Let's say you play Duel with a score limit of 10 and you are leading....

9 you ... 1 or 2 the other and it is you round ..... Well, let's call it Matchpoint, or better match axe

For some reason suddenly nobody can move anymore and the person with 9, who has the match - point, wins with a headshot

Ok, you could say : Well, you leading 9 - 2, so you proparbly get 10 anyway But my clan memeber did not really like it

We thought it is just a coincidense .... but it happend all the time, I had again match point with 9 and though : Let's record it and see what happend :

umm.. how to watch?

Create a folder in your UT Directory called Demos

Start your Standard UT and go to Community ...

There you have a tab called Demos

You will see the required packages... just copy them from your Chaos installation over to your Standard UT ... I think two packages, map and something ....


Of course you have to copy the file then in that folder called Demos

I'm working on trying to reproduce this to find the problem, however it looks like I need more information from you. And I cant seem to run the Demo, ut2004 crashes on both of my computers with the same error when i try.

So Please let me know a little more info:

- Was Duel mode: 1on1, 1on1 2/3, 4 man, or LMS?
- Were there any other mutators running? I noticed the demo required EliminationUt2k4.
- Map was Duel Infested I believe?
- were there any bots playing? or just you and your friend?

1. It was Duel Mode ... We were 4 people but we fight 1on1
2. It was no other mutator running.Elimination2k4 is a Team Based LMS Mutator which is not running in this Game Mode
3. Map was indeed Duel-Infested but it happened on every other map too (we played Graveyard and Collosseum that day)
4. I have the problem when playing against Bots and als Human Players ...

What I can do is creating an AVI File for you and post the Downloadlink and / or you join me for a match ...

Well .... If you don't mind mut downloads as it is our Mutator Server
When Joining the Server you might have to download CTF4 and TDM4 as well but everything is on a fast redirect server ....

yea maybe make me an avi is best... it doesnt have to be great quality.. just so i can see whats goin on. And Thanks for the info!

You should have the avi in approx 4 hours ... I still at work ...

I make some other matches too... Just to see what kind of scenario you need to simulate

This reminds me of the bug from an old patch. It sounds very familiar. I think it was 3.0? A patching mistake creates the old bug i believe. Maybe it's similar here?

Well I dont really understand your setup, so I figured maybe I could understand better with a movie.. your current demo doesn't seem to work for anyone.. and crashes on both of my PC's when i try to run it, even with the required files.

Unless you can explain your setup better. Here's what I got out of it:

You and your friend Play on your dedicated server set for 10 rounds wins the match. Your friend kills you 2 times, you kill him 9 times, and then on the next round you automatically win and your screen says "HEADSHOT" without even fighting.

You say your server was set up for 4 man duel, but what do you do with the two extra bots? do you kill them while fighting? or use an admin command to kick them?

Much of this may be evident in a movie, but using the setup I explained above, I have not been able to reproduce it. Tell me if there is something I'm missing.

Ok, strangly everyone in our clan was able to view the demo without any problems .. But anyway, avis are on its way.

We played with 4, but 1on1 Melee, that means that the winner of the round plays against the next and so on ... If I am loosing a round, the playing against each other etc.

But it will clear in the avi ..

I recorded the movie with scoreboard, so maybe you can figure out something. But mostly the Movie is very short, like the last two rounds .. One movie is starting at the forth round .. I mostly forget to start the demorec as for some reason our demorec mutator does not save server site demos in Chaos Games (another bug maybe) ..
