Thanks but we don't plan on changing the texture file anymore. If we do then maybe we can add it!!!

Hmmmmmm maybe we could just add the origional texture file to the collection and add them in the INI. Waddya think?

works fine since that's how I made them in the past. If you guys ever were interested, I'd put them into one zip for ya.

Its not that we dont want to...but if we added it to the same spraypaint package it makes every one down load that file again...its only 6 mb. But if we change it, then its another 6mb the pactch grows. Up to you guys.... Maybe a new spary paint package??? Not sure how that would work...

Can u have a folder specifically for images/spraypaints, just like the music folder? Put any image in there and it becomes a spraypaint in the game??? Then, everybody could have their own spraypaints without needing to edit game files.

but others players couldnt see new ones,and if it somehow got a HL like way in you would be subjected to TONS of pron,goatse and other images which you wouldnt want(most likely)

I like the idea of using folders for them instead of the normal texture folder. Then Chaos could autoread what's in that folder and add it your selectable spraypaints. It seems better than the current system. (of course it'd still need to be in server packages for others to see it)

As far as i know, wont work. I do know that Jb looked into what you guys are talking about rather extensivly.

yea Loq is right. The server will never upload anything other than some ini-settings. Epic has dis-allowed this for security reasons. Just imagine the hacks you could do if the UT2004 allow for people to upload. You could put a viruse or other code into your spraypaint...the server uploads its then downloads it to all of the players PC....mass infection The other bad thing with that is its too easy to use Racial, Relegious or P0rn images. This way at least the server admin has to add the packages so one hopes they know about what they are addding...

We have talked with Epic and having them as textures is probably the best we can do...that is unitl we win the MSU and get a licenese to the engine....hahahahhahahahehehehheehheheh But if we had thier source code we could do something like that.

Thus for now it looks like we have to keep the clunky system we have now.

yea I know I was trying to make a funny. I guess after you had as much Mt Dew as it sounded funny at the time

Let this be a lesson to you. Dont drink Dew as I had today and try to be funny..it just does not work

Waite there is more to the equasion....... I have had like 4 cans of dew today. so that mean that if you drink dew and tell a joke, then a person who has had way too much dew will prolly try to tell a really lame joke to accentuate your joke and cause both jokes to fail horrably. Hence the moral to the story is when drinking dew make sure that if you are going to tell a joke that there isnt an idiot who drank too much dew there to ride your coattails LOL
