how do I get chaos to recognize added characters?
how do I get chaos to recognize added characters?
what do I have to do to make chaos see the player models I've added after chaos was installed?
it should automagically if you added the proper setup to you Ut2004.ini file paths statement:
In your main UT2004.ini file:
[Core.System]
CacheRecordPath=../ChaosUT2/Records/*.ucl
Paths=../ChaosUT2/Animations/*.uk
Paths=../ChaosUT2/Maps/*.ut2
Paths=../ChaosUT2/Sounds/*.uax
Paths=../ChaosUT2/StaticMeshes/*.usx
Paths=../ChaosUT2/System/*.u
Paths=../ChaosUT2/Textures/*.utx
that should do it.

Jb's answer was if you are doing it in regular UT2004. If you are doing it via the mod menu, i think it should work, but if all else fails you might try coping the upl files for the models to the UT2004\ChaosUT2\System directory.
However, you might try removing your ChaosUT2.ini (in the UT2004\ChaosUT2\System directory) and restarting the mod. This will regenerate a new version of the file based on current settings in normal UT2004, and should allow models to work.

I make Darth Vader look like a teenage punk with a lightsaber.
I think this would be what it is.jeditobe1 wrote:Jb's answer was if you are doing it in regular UT2004. If you are doing it via the mod menu, i think it should work, but if all else fails you might try coping the upl files for the models to the UT2004\ChaosUT2\System directory.
