Is there any way I can get the .wav or playable sound file of the vengeance explosion?

If you could always open up UE, load the sound then export it as a wav....

Yup. All the music is stored in your ut2004/music folder. I think. It could be something else like ut2004/system/music.... But it's in there somewhere. It's in ogg format, so you should be able to play it with winamp. Winamp rules. Download the zippo skin. (burn) (rock) (burn)

and where can i get winamp?
can it be used in reverse (put my songs into Unreal?)

our music would be in the chaosut2\music folder.

www.winamp.com is where I would start :)

Not sure if you could put an mp3 into a map. You can get a converter that changes it to the ogg format...

if with putting your songs in unreal UT's built-in player can play MP3 okay,so no need for that

No open the unreal editor, load the sounds into the sound explorer, then export them from there.
