A new weapon idea. (Actually, it is more of a tool)

Name: The Chaos Immobilizer

Description: Uhh...

Ammo: Shock ammo. (or own created ammo)

Primary: fires a beam that, when latched onto a player or vehicle, renders them from using any weapons. (Except for vehicles running into you and players can run away from range of weapon/tool.)

Secondary: Fires a beam that, when latched onto a player or vehicle, stops them from moving. (They can still shoot you.)

!!!!!ADVANCED WEAPON OPTION!!!!!

Primary: attempts to steal weapon target is using. (Vehicles not affected; thief needs to stand for five seconds to steal)

Secondary: Switches targets position with own position. (If target is carrying a game objective, target drops it or it is reset. TEAM MEMBERS ARE THE ONLY ONES AFFECTED! if in a non-team gametype, affects all.)

sounds kinda overpowered in object based games,stealing a flag would be impossible with one of theese around

Hence an ammo limit. Besides, it would actually work. if you stop moving you can kill whomever is keeping you from moving. if you have no weapon use then you can always jump around and move and such. besides, to balance it more you need to actually face your enemy. if he jumps right behing you or out of your view then it loses its effect. That and when in a vehicle you can either switch to a weapon if immobilized or just run the person over if they disable weapons. BESIDES! You need to have this out as a weapon, meaning you cannot gun and immobilize/disable at the same time.

And on a note of ammo limits, it actually can take a lot of ammo at one time just to hold it. that and to make it even more crappy is to reduce its range to short. say about, bio-rifle range. or have it need to actually ATTACH to the target with a hook or something. so if you miss, try again.

THis would be a handy superwep, especially in melee CTF, if that is ever going to work...

Ammo amount: Depends on consumption speed

range: short; works only when facing forward

weapon class: Super weapon

instant hit: no. needs its hook to latch onto target

Primary: fires a beam that, when latched onto a player or vehicle, renders them from using any weapons. (Except for vehicles running into you and players can run away from range of weapon/tool.)

Secondary: Fires a hook that, when latched onto a player or vehicle, stops them from moving. (target can still shoot you. you move very slowly.)

Overall: With this, teamplay will be a lot faster due to team-switching. And that means that when it is used in team battles, ONLY TEAM MEMBERS ARE AFFECTED! However, when in a non-team gametype like DM or INV, all are affected.( Except monsters and such of course.) However, to switch positions with another player the target needs to be standing on the ground. So, if you are falling into a pit you cannot switch with the person who knocked you off. And when it is in use then the person using the immobilizer will be immobile himself.( Except when stealing weapons due to time limit. And also when diabling weapons, but you move VERY slow.) When the target is immobile, the target can still turn around and kill the immobilizer. if weapons are disabled the target can just leap over the immobilizer. if used on a vehicle the target can use their weapons to shoot the immobilizer or just run them over.

Dave,when you register it clearly states you must be 13 or over(just had to do this)

The bots will respond in the next version
It is a flashbang/EMP grenade(i doubt you will be too good at shooting people after being disrupted)

and editing another persons post doesnt make you look any bit smarter/cooler than the usual bum :roll:

True, EMP's do nothing to bots, yet
But they will slow vehicles to a crawl for a few seconds.

Ignoring the the pun earlier,

So? You think it will qualify for a third super weapon? or should it be adjusted more? I put in all I can think of while giving people their own imagination on what this thing will look like to them. Plus, like I said, the ammo is actually dependant on what the consumption speed is. ( Aren't all weapons?) That is my word for now.

Oh and Guest,(whoever you are) if you can't remember how this works then why play chaos? weapons will just get more confusing from here on out, most likely. ofr instance, you want to stop your opponent dead in thier tracks and you are twenty feet away. what Chaos weapon do you use to take them out immediately?

I highly doubt that if you can lug a grenade to explode on time in that distance. And, since if not in a vehicle ERDW secondary usually does it for me. That or laser guided swirling rockets. Or just simply make a headshot with the sniper rifle.
