Chaotic Dreams

ive just downlaoded the cutumod to reinstall chaos after my damn format.

howver, in true style, the umod didnt work, so i downloaded the ut2mod extracter thing from unrealwiki.

then, having extracted all the files to the right places in the ut folder, how the hell do i play chaos? theres no setup/run icon, so i have no idea how to start chaos like i used as a standalone mod. doubt it will even work as a mutator either from within ut.

jeez, what a pain....any ideas to fix this????

did you install the latest Epic patch and ECE? There was an issue where the ECE install messed with the UMODs install process. Also can you can start Chaos via a short cut (C:\UT2004\System\UT2004.exe -MOD=ChaosUT2) or via the comunity menu...

argh, its ok, i just downloaded the ZIP instead. ill need to replace that odd ms-dos shortcut to chaos tho.its working now, ill post up a new level soon also.

its such a pain that the umods just dont seem to want to run (the chaos ones anyway) ive never had any hassle with other umods....

yea they can be tricky...they store info in your mainfest.ini and if that file ever gets wacked...boy o boy fun fun fun
