Separate Mutator for the Sniper Rifle? Please?

Hello everybody :)

I am Zoeff (known in the Atari Forums), a member of the Natural Born Snipers (NBS).

We have been using the SA2K4 Mutator for ut99 style Sniper Rifles. But i'd like to add a new option in the Gametype Voting menu - ChaosUT SR.

This means that there is an option to choose a Gametype that doesn't have a hitscan Sniper Rifle. If we wanted this now then that means anyone that joins will need to download the 200MB of the mod itself... Thats not very friendly. :(

The mutator should simply be ChaosUTSniper Rifle Arena. No things like removing power ups or something. If we later think it should be different then we'll contact you. :)

If there is already something like this then i apologise. :)
I have used the Search Function on these forums but without result. :(

Zoeff:

1) The idea of seperate 'mini mutators' for various parts of CUT has been discussed before, but that idea has always been turned down, for whatever reasons the CDT have.

2) IMHO the CUT SR is the one wep in CUT which is pretty useless. 8) But thats IMHO

3) Natural born Snipers? You woke up one day to find a scope sticking out of your eye??? :lol: That'd actually be quite cool...

Zoeff,

yea lord_kungai got it. We have no plans to break up the mod into just weapons only. However we understand that our weapons are the more popular parts of the mod. So maybe someday we can offer a smaller version...

and i honestly hope that will happen


you could just create a SR with a very fast(but not hitscan) projectile,would be good enought i guess(wouldnt anger CD too much i guess as you wouldnt steal models,sounds or any other asset)

Erm... what I meant was "Join the club (as in, you are not the first to have tried this); This is the club for mini mutators"

Something tells me you interpretted what i posred a little diferently :D

I been playing normal ut for a little bit now but i get surprised when people mention chaos ^^ considering they dont tend to mention any other mod, also there isnt anybody that plays chaos. But i do hear about it fairly often ^^, but the word pitty is shortly followed after......mostly "pitty its such a great mod, just not enough people play it" and i also hear people wanting the chaos inplmented into the game but on normal ut. Mabe it would be good if you had a configurable weapons/melee mutator like monkey matrix mod etc for normal ut. People want to play it...but theres just nowhere to play it and no one to play it with on chaos.

it would be nice if chaos interacted with other mods. expecially monkey matrix moves! it would be nice to flip backwards and slice the person behind you in half with a katana! Freakin' awesome!
