Is there any way to get Chaos UT to work without the ECE bonus pack which seems to really screw UT2004 up?

Myself and several of my friend's machines stop recognizing UMOD files after installing the ECE bonus pack. Having read many forums from several different sites, it seems that this is normal for the ECE bonus pack and there doesnt appear to be a fix coming soon.

Usally re-installing the last patch fixes the issue, usally. And there is no way to get PR3.6 to work with the ECE as there is content in the ECE that we use in PR3.6...
