Network Game wants to Download everyting... very slowly

I just finished seting up my sons and My computer with Unreal Tournament 2k4 (Legit Copies) and installed the Chaos mod 3.6 (full) and whenever either one of us tries to connect to the other computer that is set up as a listen server from within Chaos it wants to download everything and itis painfully slow... The files that it wants to download are already in the chaos directories... Whats the Gig! Man I wanna play... I am 47 and my son is 9, and he keeps
kicing my ass
in regular UT... Please Help!

Sorry for your trouble. How are you starting chaos? Do you use the shortcuts on BOTH PCs or are you starting UT2k4? It should work ok so long as you both start using the chaos shortcut (or make sure the mod is activated first). Please let us know if that helps!

Started Choas the same on both machines and it still wants to download the textures and all the files... I wouldn't mind but the download speed is tremendously slower tat regular UT2k4 on the internet. THis is a local lan with a 100/1000 network hub and cards. Believe me it is not the network, other transfers take only a blink.

It seems that maybe it is a path issue, it doesn't seem to see the files are already there!

Any help would be appreciated.

Wow...

Firstly, I would like to congratulate you , Mr. Judeski, for being the first person I know of who likes playing computer games and is over 40 years of age.

Secondly, i would like to congratulate whoever Judeski Jr. might be for being able to beat his father at UT.

Thirdly, I would like t point out that I'm sorry, but there is no way I can offer any advice to your problem as I do not know very much myself.

No its not your setup as unreal defaults to transfer data over. For what ever reason the one machine does not think your running chaos correctly. Make sure they both have the same version. Also it may not hurt to send the chaosut2.log file (found in the ut2004\chaosut2\system folder) here so we can see why...it should work ok...

Ok this means
ChaosUT CTF-((Frequency))UT2k4.ChaosUT (Function Engine.Mutator.CheckReplacement:0000) Infinite script recursion (250 calls) detected
that something is trying to replace the same object many times. And usally thats two mutators fighting over the same object.

I noticed your mut line was:
Mutator=UnrealGame.MutMovementModifier,UnrealGame.MutGameSpeed,UnrealGame.MutLowGrav,XGame.MutQuadJump,XGame.MutRegen,StuntMan.MutStuntMan,ChaosGames.ChaosUT
Can you try it with just out the other muts first, see if it works and then we can add the muts back till we see which causes the crash..
