Forgive the stupid question that is fast approaching. Ya know how UT2k4 has that little music player...well I never use that anyway...but just how much does playing mp3s in the background like in WMP or what I use, Musicmatch Jukebox REALLY affect your FPS and anything else? My computer is probably at the halfway point between the minimum and preferred system requirements for the game. I know they always say "disable as many background apps as you can"...is that why it's probably best to play an actual audio CD instead?

It certainly will suck up quite a bit of ram up,but the slice on your FPS/smoothness highly depends on the amount of RAM(not really sure on how much CPU it takes)
in any case, its best to use the ingame player

well,
one test is to play a mp3 with nothing else running. Then go to your task manage and see how much CPU its using...that way you will know...
