So... we still play and love ChaosDM for Q2, but finding other players online can be difficult these days. I propose a specified time and place for us to meet and frag away, to renew old friendships and welcome new players, and celebrate the unique gameplay of this classic mod.

Sound good? 30-40 Psyco is willing to up the playerlimit on his server, Psyco's Lair 68.112.104.127 27910 and join the fray himself---let's make it happen. Post here what timeslots work best for you, and in the meantime I'll be there this Wednesday evening around 6pm Pacific.

So when are we gonna do it again? Wed nights after 8pm EST are good for me. Weekends are out as its the only time I get to spend with my wife, and sadly she is a priority over gaming (though she might think otherwise, and often expresses frustration when I yell at the computer) I've gotten her to install q2 on her computer but she needs more training before shes ready for deathmatch, and online gaming....kinda fun watching the strogg mow her down though. G6{DRGN} and I mostly play a WW2 mod called dday these days where I'm known as [CLIK]MetalGod, and hes known as Grinder. Its quite different from Chaos, and I hated it at first (mainly because fov 90 made me seasick for the longest time, and your fov is unalterable... for any other mod I use fov 135) but like a fungus its grown on me, though it could never take the place of my precious.... err I mean Chaos. Anyway lets get another log on the fire, and make this a habit.

Sounds great let's make it official! ;D Sunday mornings are good too---just came from a full server (Psyco's) and saw Atom(moo), REMA, Hooper, etc.

My apologies for not posting here earlier. Work, life, 'n such
keep me well occupied. My love of Chaos is alive....and thankfully
the Q2 Chaos mod is still breathing....and the UT2k4 version has
provided loads of fun too.

My Q2 server is still up and running at 68.112.104.127....and yes,
the player limit has been bumped up to 8 slabs of meat (players).
I believe I can bump the limit higher and will consider doing so
if the server traffic warrants it. A few map rotation substitutions
have been made in recent weeks. If you have a map request,
drop a note in this forum or hit my server's ICQ @ 74983717.

My server does go offline occasionally as I do PC support ops
or other network operations. I do try to keep the server up
24x7x365.

The server has been running V1.14b of Chaos for a long time.
I did learn of the Q2 Chaos update and will grab it as time permits.
Once the patch is in hand and I complete a Q2 data reconciliation
project, I'll give the new version a whirl. Can you say 4.8 gigs of
Q2 data?

It's great to see players in my server and other servers. There's
been a clear resurgence of Q2 Chaos play (xenoid grins big time).
My server and Internet connection seem to be supporting 8 players
nicely. However, in recent months, my Internet service has suffered
from excessive packet loss. I'd have complained to my ISP, but I
am my ISP (I work for my ISP, a cable modem provider).

The great and somewhat ironic news is that I've been at the core
of a bandwidth expansion project at work....and after months of
coordination and work, that expansion project was completed
this morning! Network performance at <Psyco's Lair> should
be much better now

MrG, I tried the chaos.zip link posted earlier in this thread but it
seems dead. Might you be able to direct me to the current DL
if one is available?
