Is there going to be a Chaos mutator for UT 2007?

I'd really like to think there's going to be one, and confirmation would make my year.

Well its really hard to say whats going to happen so far down the road... But I dont think we are done yet... We just need to get this next one out ASAP.

I have a question about the chaos mut (and I am too lazy to write a new post sorry

) :
The chaos
mutator allows to replace ut weapons with chaos weapons, but I wonder if there would be a chaos melee weapons replacer to add to any gametype ?
I d like to play CTF4 or BR or DOM or whatever with melee weapons !

No we can not do that. And its more of a techincal reason why. Basically we have to replace the pawn and controller classes with our own Melee versions in order for Melee to work. And its a very bad things to have a mutator replace a pawn/controller class from a gametype. Bad things will could happen so we avoid doing that. Thus we have restriced Melee to our own gametypes where we can have access to our own controller/pawns

I would like to see Chaos in UT07 simply of the melee weapons. I mean, if UT2007 has melee weapons in it then you can add in your own weapons but with new flairs and such. if they don't then you can continue into UT history by making melee weapons.
And of course I would like to see epic try to recreate the living and walking land mine you have created. otherwise known as the proxy. I betcha they won't do that, so we would very much like the little walking explosions around.

Chaos must be there in UT2007. I can't imagine not having a grappling hook in any UT game!!!
Of course, there ARE bound to be complications, but we will wait... patiently... maybe...

Hoverboard?!
Ok, hold on here... so you are saying that the grappling hook is not going to be directly from the player, but via the hoverboard???

So now we will have a freaky arm coming out of the hoverboard.
*gets on hoverboard and shoots a grapple hook onto a vehicle about to take off. It takes off and I am riding behind it. someone shoots me off the board but the hoverboard is still attached to the vehicle.*
I can just see that scenario right there. WILL that be possible?

Keep in mind that Epic removed most of the "hooks" to your player when they are controlling a vechile, in fact your controller posses the vehilce and your old body is merly allong for the ride. Thus we loos access to its inventory. Thats why we could never make the driver of the vechile fire their own weapons... However for passengers its much easier

but surly it would be possible to put a grappling hook on the hoverboard because everyone has one and it could even be a completly new bit of code to the hand-held one?
of course if you had to re-code it all then it would be a bit hard but it would be possible.
unless I'm misunderstanding what you were saying?

Couldnt you just create a "Chaos Inventory Actor", attach it to the player controller, tell it which pawn the player normally controls, and have it read the pawn's inventory when the player is not controlling the pawn?
