I can't install umods

I just got UT2004 for the pc (yeah...I got a pc laptop for christmas '05) and I downloaded this first (as a umod) and it worked. Now I can't run any umods!
(I'm not blaming you guys...much) I've tried to install jailbreak, alien swarm. etc. and it dosen't work! do you guys know where the applacation to run umods are? Thanks in Advanced

You need to update the game. I think that'll fix it.

I have the latest vertion (I don't play duel often) AND I said

after installing the megapack/ece bonuspack UMOD's get fudged up,so try reinstalling the patch,even if you already have it

should fix the problem

ah thx TKATK. I didn't know that could cause a problem (mostly because it's an epic thing)

EDIT: It didn't work. Now what?

Okay...the only other reason for it to not work i could think of is your manifest.ini might be borked(UT2004/System)

i guess you could try posting it up here...

If you can't run umods, that probably means you have lost umod file association. Google UT4MOD file association, or

go thru Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/File Types..., find it, go to Advanced and Edit, and under 'Application to use this blah blah', put this (with your own drive letter);

C:\UT2004\System\Setup.exe install "%1"

The manifest suggestion is usually for when they run the umod, but it says wrong version of ut2004 or no version of UT2004 is found. In those cases reinstall 3369 patch as suggested, or manually fix the Manifest.ini. by simply scrolling to the line that says version=1 and change it to version=3369.

Or could be that you broke it and it's never ever gonna work.
