no CUT3. Bummer.

But why not go back to UT2004 then?
There's plenty of potential there (and there's the player count that's missing with UT3).
I'd love to see headhunter maps in Chaos Form (there's already a "greed" gametype out there.)

I have no objections to the Chaos team working further on UT2004. However, the same situation applies. No coder. Should a qualified coder wish to join our team for that purpose, we'll see where it takes us.

Perhaps not every team member would be interested, but that's fine too. If/when the right talent signs on, we can certainly have more than one project going at once.

a stand alone game would rule.

But there's so much else you could do on UT2k4 which doesn't require a coder.
Mapping, textures, etc.

There's no doubt Chaos would be an awesome 'stand alone' game. With the right people involved, of course.
