I have been messing with MIDI again in Sonar, mostly with a VSTi called Slayer. It emulates guitar, somewhat, and that's after a lot of tweaking. It's still quite blatantly digital sounding though. This is adapted to MIDI from a metal song I wrote on guitar:

It was originally titled "The Duel" when it was an electric guitar version, now more appropriately "Digital Duel".

That's a completely random picture which I inserted in there, as something.

I want to make a point of saying that it's difficult to master, living in an apartment. I have to rely mostly on headphone use, even though I have so-called monitoring headphones.

Anyway, just something I did for fun, really. If by some chance anyone comes across this thread who knows how to work Slayer better than I do, by all means give me some advice.

Old silly YouTube video deleted. Original electric guitar version can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TzhmFWNHLk along with other songs I recorded before hurting my shoulder. Not too long ago, I actually pitched that song along with "Wake" and "Nightmare" to a major company for movie/TV placement, but rejected. I don't want to give up on that, but there are scams around every corner of the internet these days.

Not bad.

Now, how about a rendition of Bridge Over Troubled Water?
