NEWS

2-1-2003
The progress report has been moved to the dev. forum. However, I will try to post a public screen shot soon (or perhaps someone else from the team could do it for me :D ).

1-31-2003
LOL, I did all my anti-portals wrong! I'm going to get that all fixed up today.

1-30-2003
I've been coverting the map to CTF over the past few days. JB has posted a screen shot of the current CTF build. You'll notice that I changed the SkyBox. It is now at night at the temple. The moon glows an erie blu light over the temple exterior. I'll be working on and off the map for the next few days. I'll try and get a build of the map uploaded sometime by the weekend. Oh and BTW, it's my BIRTHDAY, YAY!

1-26-2003
A few changes have been made to the map. I've used a slightly less particule intense flame for all my braziers. This has improved my FPS enough for me to notice I believe.

1-24-2003
I've made a rather large reply post today, so check it out for more info. Maybe you can help me out.

1-20-2003
Thanks for the input. Name change is now finalized. Maps new name is KOTH-TempleReign.

1-18-2003
Added the "Sounds" section and the "Zoning and Portals" section. New screen shots will be coming around here soon.

1-17-2003
Well, as you can see there is a map name change pending. This is because the original map was going to be a temple in the sea, but its now going to be a temple a mountianus desert. The maps new name will likely be KOTH-TempleReign. Anyway, as you can tell from the top of the post, I've completed all the major BSP adds and subtracts. I have also added the Bot Pathing section, and the Item Placement section. I plan on posting an updated screen shot or two as soon as I get to it.

1-10-2003
Tons of the map has been completed. I'm almost ready to start bot pathing. The map has taken many changes, but is now moving very well. I can't wait to get it done, so I (and some others ) can test it!

12-27-2002
Now I've been working on this map for over a month, but not every day mind you. Anyway, I've made some changes to some old rooms, and made several new ones. I've added fire to all my braziers and torches as I make the map now. Lots of neat "Egyptian Style" decorations have been added to the map as well. I've sent some new screen shots to JB, so if you don't see any new ones here, bug him, not me

Anyway, that's all for now!

DOh,

sorry I did not see the thread till now. You can email them to me at jb@planetunreal.com

If you dont have time to load photoshop you can compress the bmp files using winzip then send them to me.

Thanks for the info!

Thanks, I should get them to you sometime today or tomarrow.

EDIT: Zipped them with Winzip, but just 2 screens (5 megs a pop) have now been zipped to 6 megs. Thats still a bit much to send over the information highway, so I better get Photoshop setup.

Finally was able to convince my brother to load Photoshop on his computer. I will try to get that done today or tomarrow. The only reason for the delay is I've been so into working on the map that the screens become outdated within hours  . Anyway I'll try and get this wrapped up as soon as possible.

Now, I am still finallizing a name for the map. Currently I'm saving it as DM-CUT-WetRock, but I plan on changing it to KOTH-SeaTemple (or WaterTemple, or OceanTemple - Well, you get the idea :D ). I only have it named as a DM map ATM because I need it like that to access the map ingame for testing.

I'll post regular updates to this topic so my map progess can be tracked.

I live in Northern Indiana, St. Joe. County. It's right on the border with MI. In fact I go to college in MI. Drive 30 minutes back and fourth to get there and back home.

From the shots, I have to say, the map looks like it's going to be fun to play. Need any playtesting done? :) I always did like the ancient temple theme.

Thanks for the input. Playtesting is still a ways off, and it has to get all the KOTH stuff so it can work (because I'm not a member of the team... yet). I'll send it to the team here as a DOM map when I'm done, and they can add what I need, or send me what I need to do it myself. Then, the playtesting will begin!
