AJC,
at this point you may be missing more than you realize. Can you download our full install off our main web page and that should fix your issues. I just do want to have to keep giving you the files one at a time as its frustrating for you to think you have everything only to find out your missing something else....

i have a 56k DLing files over 30 MB takes A LOT of time

I had that happen too. Got nVidia by chance?umm Help (BTW i only have version 432 of UT so i can't 436 messes up my Menus )
I got rid of it by running the game in the same res as my desktop.
-in other words my menus were unreadable/no mouse ponter when I was running the game at 800x600. Once I changed it to 1024x768 (my Windows desktop res) I could correctly see and navigate the UT menus.

also make sure you have the latest detonator drivers.
