Ok we found out that animated textures should work. Nathjan verify this yet?

However other type of images: Shaders, Material, Combiners, Final Blend, ect will NOT work. They image has to be of type "Texture" in order for this to work... Maybe we can see if this is a simple way to remove this limiation but only when time permits.

So JB, is there a quick way for me to make an animation to test out or am I dead in the water on this one? I had a few Ideas on some spray packs and this would be very handy depending on how hard it is.
Thanks for your time :)
Edit: OK, I figured it out but the animation won't show when I paint it on a wall. This is what I was trying to do: Image
Edit2: here is the UTX file http://members.aol.com/trailboss3/images/

Named them in sequence as pcx files, resized to 64x64, imported them, added ini info and I can see to pick it in the chaos spray console, and it is animated but it won't show on a wall :(

TBH, given the amount of time that our coders have to accomplish many things, I would hope he's got more important things on his mind.

Well, now. Didn't exactly mean that it's a bother.

All of it is cool, all of our stuff we wanted there or it wouldn't be there. It's just that even things like entire game types sometimes have to be put on a back burner for a bit, while we work on others.

Nor was I speaking for Jb, just to make that clear as well. I merely stated that it's not what I would wish for him to be worrying about right now. Doesn't mean he won't.

No problem Mr. Flagg, it's all cool :) I was just charged up about finding a feature nobody knew was a for sure possibility and then finding out it would actually work, for example (Nate's soon to be released animated sprays)
I am a noob at most of this stuff and the nature of most is to look for the easy way out. I figured out how to make the sprays animate in about 45 min of research once JB said they had to be in a specific format but I just got stuck on the (no pic on the wall thing when I spray)

Edit: Here is a sample: http://hometown.aol.com/trailboss3/Files/

Thanks again

Edit:Converted frames to DDS format, Named them in sequence (MyFileName_a01.DDS) , resized to 256x256, imported them to my texture file, added ini info and I can see to pick it in the chaos spray console, and it is animated. They now show on the wall :)

Now for the next question, is there an easy way to batch convert from say JPG to DDS about 30 files at a time? I know how to batch name but not convert formats.
